Joyce Antler

Joyce Antler is the Samuel Lane Professor of American Jewish History and Culture and Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies Emerita at Brandeis University. She is the author of many books on Jewish and women's history, including, most recently, Jewish Radical Feminism: Voices from the Women's Liberation Generation; You Never Call! You Never Write! A History of the Jewish Mother, awarded the Emily Toth Prize for best book on women’s issues, and The Journey Home: How Jewish Women Shaped Modern America. She also edited Talking Back: Images of Jewish Women in American Popular Culture and America and I: Short Stories by American Jewish Women Writers. She is the co-author of the prize-winning documentary drama, Year One of the Empire
